Re: Introduce yourself to the community

Hey everyone,  Just saw the tweet for this site so I thought I might just give it a try.  My name is Simon I've been a customer with Telus since 2006 and I have not one complaint to make, great service and great phones.  I'm have the HTC Hero and apparently I"m addicted to it (so my wife says!) lol. OH and I'm and I hope we get the 2.1 update...?

Welcome to the Community Ryan!

Not sure about the Hero 2.1 update. It's tough to say much about releases until when/if they actually happen (there are so many variables), but I will investigate. If I find something I can post, I will reply here.

Thanks

Re: Introduce yourself to the community

That's an awesome news!  I was starting to be scared that we weren't gonna get that update!  And for Phonalyzr app, Already have it and love it!  Another question will Telus come out and give an official statement or will keep in sealed until the actual update is available?

Cheers

Re: Introduce yourself to the community

I don't know offiicially, but I would assume if you followed HTC and TELUS on twitter it would be broadcast there upon release. I'm keeping a close eye on their feeds right now. With such a massive jump in OS ver it's going to be interesting to see that difference that makes.

Hello all.

My name is Jon Arnold, and I'm an independent telecom/tech strategy analyst based in Toronto. I've been to the site a few times, and wanted to introduce myself. I really like this site, and you've got a lot of good ideas here to build community and engage with thought leaders. Portals like this can be of great value to help educate your customers and get them to try new services. I'll have more feedback as I spend more time here, and I look forward to contributing thought leadership and participating in the various discussions.

Hi!

I just joined this TELUS Talks Business community.

I am with Cisco Canada. We work with TELUS Customer Solutions, and together we help customers communicate and collaborate more effectively with Unified Communications, TeleWorking, Contact Centre and Collaboration solutions (e.g. Contact Centre Express, Cisco TelePresence, WebEx Web Collaboration and Videoconferencing.)

Here is a link to a new WebEx for iPhone demo. You can also get a free download of the new WebEx for iPhone from the Apple apps store. You can now join WebEx online meetings in seconds when you're away from the office using your TELUS iPhone (http://www.webex.com/apple/#).

Or you can use the Cisco WebEx on Blackberry application if you have a TELUS Blackberry (http://www.webex.com/blackberry):

Hey!

My name is Samantha, I'm currently working as a Digital Marketer in Toronto for Asigra, a Cloud Backup software vendor. With the release of our latest version, our service providers now have the ability to backup Apple iOS and Google Android Devices. I also manage a community for Backup and Storage professionals -- BackupHeroes.com! So if you have any questions as it relates to backup and storage, I'm your girl!

I look forward to contributing to this community as it relates to the "cloud" and all things digital including social media!

Re: Introduce yourself to the community

Hi I am an extremely disappointed Telus customer/hostage . Telus has failed miserably at fixing an ongoing issue with my business phone service. It wasn't installed correctly and had to have several Techs come to my business and waste my time giving me the run around. I have had 7 different techs from Telus show up and do absolutely nothing to repair the issue with my phone line. My issue is this, every single time it rains my fax line shorts out and since my internet is on this line , I lose it as well. This has cost me revenue due to customers trying to fax orders to me and they can't get through so they order from my competitor. I have explained this issue , at length , to every single CSR that answers the phone, yet they still dispatch a nonstop parade of techs who do not ever fix the problem. A couple of the techs said that it was a line maintenance issue and they would have them dispatched to fix the issue or at least narrow the problem down. To date, no line maintenance crew has been dispatched, or if they have, my problem is still not fixed and nobody has said anything to me about it. All I want is the service I pay for. Seems fair doesn't it? If I had a choice of phone providers I would switch without a second thought. Unfortunately, Telus is the only provider and as such I am at their mercy. Guess what? they still want me to pay my full bill on time even though I only have intermittent service from them at best. Boo Telus!!! I am going to keep calling and keep having techs come to my business and waste my time and Telus' money until somebody from Telus gets a clue and solves this problem that has been ongoing since Octobor 2010.
